A body has been found at the side of the A350 in Chippenham.
Wiltshire Police were called to the scene, near Kington Langley, at around 2.30pm this afternoon, following reports of a body at the roadside.
One southbound lane has been closed while officers investigate.
A private ambulance attended the scene at around 4.30pm.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are at the very early stages of the investigation and enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of death, and whether or not there are any suspicious circumstances. Anyone with information should call 101.”
