A biker has sustained significant injuries in a crash in the Wiltshire countryside.
Emergency services attended a road traffic collision on the A360 south of Littleton Panell shortly before 10.30pm yesterday (Sunday, 22 September).
The incident involved a motorcycle and a car, with the biker – aged in his 20s – sustaining injuries described as life-threatening.
They have been taken to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol for urgent care.
The driver, a 21-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and drug driving. He has since been released on bail.
A full-scale forensic collision investigation is underway at the scene – and the road is closed in both directions.
The closures are in place at the B3098 staggered crossroads and A360 Church Street at Gore Cross.
