A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after being stabbed in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to an apartment in Ulysses Road, Oakhurst, following an incident at around 8.30am yesterday morning (Saturday 25 February).
The man, aged in his 20s, was rushed to hospital with a knife wound after being stabbed – described as serious by not life-threatening.
Wiltshire Police has since arrested the injured man on suspicion of attempted murder.
A woman, aged in her 20s, who was arrested at the scene – also on suspicion of attempted murder – has been released on bail after “further enquiries” revealed more information about events.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A woman who was arrested yesterday morning (25/02) on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident inside a property in Ulysses Road, Oakhurst, Swindon has been bailed.
“Further to our enquiries, a man in his 20s who suffered a serious but not life-threatening injury in the incident has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He is currently in custody for questioning.
“A scene remains in place at the property while we conduct our investigation.
“Please be reassured that this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider public.”
