A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving in Chippenham.
Police were deployed following a report that a driver may be under the influence of achohol in the area at around 2pm.
Officers responded and located the car, a Ford Focus, in Ladyfield Road where it was stopped and the driver was spoken to.
The driver provided a positive sample of breath at the roadside.
“A man was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle over the alcohol limit”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
Adding: “He has been taken to Melksham Police station where he remains in custody.”
