A man’s been arrested following a serious incident at a house in Swindon.
Armed police were deployed to an address in Grange Park at around midday today (Wednesday).
At the scene in The Holbeins, police were reportedly threatened with death by a suspect as they responded to reports of an assault at the address.
A woman is understood to have suffered serious injuries during an attack by a man known to her. It’s not yet clear if she was taken to hospital for treatment.
A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and threats to kill.
He was taken to Gablecross custody suite for questioning, where he remains at present.
Three local police vehicles and two armed response vehicles were sighted at the incident. A van also attended to convey the suspect to custody.
