Armed police officers are conducting a search of gardens this afternoon after pointing their firearms at a house.
Three armed response units were called to the scene in Newcastle Street, Swindon, at around 3pm, and are working alongside a dog unit and local police who have closed the road.
Officers are guarding a house on the corner of the road, the alleyway that runs behind and are searching gardens – including outbuildings.
Wiltshire Police say the incident was a ‘pre-planned operation’ linked to a domestic matter.
The incident was over at 4.20pm, and no arrests were made.
