Armed police have raided a house in Swindon this morning.
A crime scene was put in place around a blue Audi in Beech Avenue at around 11.30pm yesterday (Monday), with local officers searching a nearby house and gardens.
Armed officers arrived at the scene shortly before midnight before leaving in convoy and raiding a house in Pinehurst Road at around 0.15am.
They could be heard shouting “armed police” as they used an enforcer to break down the door.
The road was closed in both directions by specialist traffic officers while it took place, and a police drone hovered over the address for the duration.
The police helicopter has been overhead since just before midnight and remains in the skies above Swindon as the incident continues into the early hours of the morning.
