Armed police have been called to a disorder involving a group of men in Swindon this afternoon.
Officers raced to the scene in Penhill Drive following a 999 call at 4.45pm, with two firearms units first to arrive at the incident in which knives were reportedly seen.
The group, of approximately six males, dispersed from the area down Everleigh Road and on to Corsham Road a short time prior to the arrival of police.
No arrests have been made, but officers are understood to be conducting an area search.
Wiltshire Police said that Penhill residents will see an increased police presence due to an anticipated increase in community tensions over a serious assault in Penhill.
