Armed police were deployed to a ‘domestic incident’ in Calne yesterday (Monday, 30 October).
Officers rushed to the scene in Mallard Close at around 8.20pm as a police helicopter circled above.
It’s understood the report related to a firearm – which sparked an armed police response.
Locals claim a Hazardous Area Response Team unit from South Western Ambulance Services also also sent to the incident due to the nature of the report.
Wiltshire Police said that “no incident was identified and no weapons seized” on their arrival, but investigations into events are ongoing.
