Police are hunting an animal killer after several sheep were killed with a car in a barbaric attack.

A vehicle is said to have access a farmer’s field off the A354 near Sixpenny Handley, just two miles over the South Wiltshire border, slaughtering six sheep.

The deceased animals – all killed at some time between 8pm on Friday and 8am on Saturday – were found to have black tyre marks on them confirming they were run over by an unknown vehicle.

“In all my years of farming I have never seen something this disturbing”, farmer Loren Millard said.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We are asking anyone who was driving in the area at that time to review any dash cam footage and get in contact if they have any information which may assist us.

“Likewise if anyone witnessed any vehicles or persons acting suspiciously in the area please get in contact.”
