A car has reportedly been attacked by an angry peacock in Corsham.
Taking offence to his own reflection, he viciously pecked the black vehicle — which was parked near Hale Veterinary Group’s practice in High Street.
The peacock is said to have caused ‘bad scratches’ on the front of the car.
A witness intervened in a bid to stop the bird’s full-on assault, but he returned moments later and carried on.
”One of the peacocks was attacking a black car outside the vets because he could see his reflection”, the local resident wrote.
Adding: “l moved him away but he returned and scratched the front of the car quite badly.”
The witness claims she left a note on the windscreen of the car to inform the owner of what caused the damage.
Corsham is one of only several towns in Wiltshire where you can see (usually) friendly peacocks roaming the streets. The birds are thought to attract thousands of visitors each year.
