An Amesbury man has been arrested after an evening paedophile hunter sting.
Wiltshire Police were called to an address in the High Street area of the town at around 6.30pm yesterday evening (Tuesday, 11 June).
The 54-year-old was confronted by a self-styled online child protection team on his own doorstep and officers were called to the scene.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of sexual communication with a child.
He was handcuffed and led away to a police car, where he was kept until a transport van arrived to take him to custody.
Following a stay in the cells, he was released on bail to allow an investigation to be carried out and his digital devices are forensically examined.
