An ambulance has crashed into a hedgerow in Melksham this afternoon, after having to swerve to avoid a head-on collision with a speeding car, witnesses say.
The incident happened on Dunch Lane at around 9.30am, with the road likely to be impassable while recovery attend to remove the vehicle from the side of the road.
It’s understood that the speeding car didn’t stop at the scene of the collision.
No one’s been injured and no patients were on board at the time.
