An alleged domestic abuser has posted about preparing for a trip to Spain just hours after the court issued a warrant for his arrest.
Brett Fairclough was due to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court charged with three offences on Thursday (31 July), but didn’t turn up.
The 32-year-old is accused of intentional strangulation, malicious communications and threatening to disclose private sexual images.
Magistrates’ issued a warrant for his arrest – but at around 7.30pm, he posted a photo of a tanning bed on Facebook – with the caption: “Cheeky 20 minute prep before Spain”.
Wiltshire Police are now tasked with tracking the defendant, of Princess Gardens, Royal Wootton Bassett, down and bringing him before the next available remand court.
Editor’s note: Court documents originally showed a charge of revenge porn, however, we have since confirmed this was an error. Fairclough was charged with threatening to disclose private sexual images. We have updated this article accordingly.
