An alleged car thief has been charged after a police chase ended in a crash.
Officers were pursuing a man who was behind the wheel of a possible stolen white BMW 3 Series in Chippenham on Sunday morning (1 February).
The driver failed to stop, with police chasing the fleeing vehicle along Hungerdown Lane and onto the A350 towards Lacock.

A 34-year-old man was arrested when the BMW hit a Volkswagen Caravelle, which contained a family of five on the Whitehall Garden Centre junction.
A 14-year-old girl sustained serious injuries, police confirmed in an update today (Monday).
According to her dad, they included “multiple fractures, substantial organs damage and internal bleeding”.
Patrick McCann, of Walnut Avenue, Hillingdon, has been charged with failing to stop a vehicle when required by an officer, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, escaping from lawful custody, breach of a court order and taking a vehicle without consent.
The defendant has been remanded in custody to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on 4 February.
