An air ambulance has landed in Swindon for a serious medical emergency at a leisure centre.
Emergency services were called to the Better Haydon Centre and Gym in Thames Avenue at around 1pm this afternoon (Thursday).
Two double-crewed ambulances can be seen in the car park, with paramedics rushing to and from the vehicles. An ambulance operations officer is also in attendance.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance touched down a playing field at Haydonleigh Primary School, before the charity’s critical care medics made their way to the leisure facility.
The exact nature of the incident is unknown, but police are not present — indicating that there are no suspicious circumstances.
