A young man was stabbed in his buttock in Swindon on Tuesday morning.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed in Meadowcroft Playing Fields having been deployed to the serious incident in Upper Stratton at around 0.20am.

Having been treated by critical care medics and local ambulance crews at the scene in Burns Way, he was taken to Great Western Hospital for further treatment.

He has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.

Wiltshire Police has confirmed no arrests have been made at this stage, but their investigation is ongoing.
