An air ambulance landed in Swindon to attend a serious incident yesterday (Monday, 8 August).

Emergency services were called to an address in Marsh Farm Lane, off Shrivenham Road, at around 12pm – following a call about an unresponsive male.

Two ambulances, two rapid response ambulance cars and Wiltshire Air Ambulance all rushed to the incident. The helicopter touched down in Foundation Park, near the County Ground.

On arrival, medics are believed to have located a male who sustained a significant injury during a fall. Despite their efforts, the casualty was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prior to 999 responders arriving at the house, neighbours are said to have provided first aid.

Five police vehicles were also in attendance.

Wiltshire 999s understands that officers were called to the location after a disorder broke out between family members at the property after the man was injured.

Nearly all of the emergency services personnel had left the scene by 2pm.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
