An air ambulance has landed at the scene of a serious road traffic collision between Warminster and Salisbury this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the crash on the A36 between Sherrington Lane and A303 at around midday today, Friday 18 August.
It’s understood that at least one vehicle is involved, and has left the road.
A passenger on a bus which has been held at the seen for a number of hours said that there has been at least one fatality – but that’s yet to be officially confirmed.
The busy main road is currently closed in bot directions and is expected to remain closed for some time – possibly even into rush hour.
