An air ambulance had landed in north Swindon this afternoon for a serious medical emergency.
Westfield Way, near Purton Road, was closed by police in both directions at around 1.45pm, as 999 crews attend to the incident ongoing below a footbridge.
It is understood someone has fallen from the bridge, but this has not been confirmed.
The road is likely to remain closed for some time.
