The A419 is blocked as emergency services deal with a road traffic collision.
The crash happened at around 7.30am this morning (22 September) and involves multiple vehicles, believed to be four cars.
The road is blocked, or partially blocked, southbound between B4696 South Cerney and B4553 Cricklade.
Wiltshire Police has advised National Highways that the incident has caused “extensive barrier damage”.
Severe traffic delays could continue in the area for several hours whilst 999 crews deal with the collision and then make efforts to repair the damaged barriers.
