999 crews are currently attending an incident near Junction 15 of the M4.

Emergency services were called to the A419 northbound at around 3.30pm today (Tuesday).

Fire crews are in attendance alongside police. It’s rumoured the incident involves an issue with a military vehicle carrying flammable substances.

There are significant traffic delays in the area, including on the slip-road from the M4 eastbound onto Badbury Roundabout at Junction 15.

Traffic is moving slowly or at a standstill southbound towards the M4 too.

In a statement, Swindon Fire Station said: “We are currently dealing with an incident on the A419 Northbound near junction 15 and the road is currently closed.

“Please avoid the area.”
