The A417 is closed near Cirencester after a ‘big crash’ outside a popular pub.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the major route in Ampney Crucis at approximately 3pm this afternoon (Wednesday).
Locals say the incident happened outside The Crown at Ampney Brook.
The road is blocked in both directions between Cirencester and Fairford, with police, fire and ambulance on scene.
Motorists are diverting via local villages – which is causing significant traffic delays.
