UPDATE: A338 crash: Man left trapped in car after hitting lorry head-on
The A338 is closed as emergency services attend a crash scene.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance is among the 999 crews called to the road traffic collision south of Burbage, at around 10.30am today (Friday).
It’s understood a lorry and a car have impacted head-on near Choppers Café.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service has crews in attendance, with a spokesperson stating that the road will be closed until approximately 1.30pm.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: “We are currently dealing with a collision on the A338 near Choppers Café and have closed the road at Burbage roundabout towards Collingbourne Ducis and Leckford crossroads.
“We were called to the collision shortly before 10.30am. It’s believed a car and a lorry are involved.
“Please avoid the area and seek an alternative route whilst the incident is dealt with.”
