The A3102 has been closed in both directions following a road traffic collision.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Tockenham – between Royal Wootton Bassett and Lyneham – at around 5pm today (Friday).
At least two vehicles were involved in the crash, a black Ford Focus and a blue Mini Cooper.
The route has been shut in both directions by police as 999 crews deal with the incident.
It’s not yet known if anyone was serious injured in the collision.
In an earlier statement, Wiltshire Police wrote: “Following a RTC on the A3102 near Tockenham the road is closed and will remain closed for a while.
“Please avoid the area as we are unsure when it will reopen.”
At 7.15pm, the route remained closed – but efforts to recover the vehicles was well underway.
The road is likely to reopen before 7.30pm.
