The A303 has been closed eastbound following a serious road traffic collision this evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5pm, with at least one person suffering serious or life-threatening injuries in the crash.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are currently dealing with a serious collision on the A303 eastbound near to the A350 junction.
“As a result, a closure is being put in place while the incident is dealt with alongside colleagues from the ambulance service.
“This is likely to remain in place for some time, so please avoid the area and seek an alternative route.”
Serious collision are investigated by specialist officers. The road is likely to remain closed for at least six hours.
