The A303 is blocked both ways as emergency services rush to a two-vehicle smash.
The major route was closed by police east of Winterbourne Stoke at around 3pm today (Thursday).
Wiltshire Police confirmed that both carriageways are obstructed as present.
“Drivers are urged to find alternative routes”, a force spokesperson said.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service has multiple crews at the scene.
It’s not yet clear if anybody’s been seriously injured in the incident.
