UPDATE: Police reveal why officers smashed way into Corsham home
Police have forced entry to a home in Corsham – but mystery surrounds why.
Officers reportedly smashed through the door of a property in The Old School Yard during an incident on Tuesday afternoon (29 July).
An eyewitness claims there were many vehicles parked behind The Pound Arts Centre, with around least nine officers present at the scene.

They said that police ‘kicked the door in’, after a drone was flown above the building.
Officers remained on scene until at least 7pm, with a company attending to secure the property after the front door was damaged.
Despite being provided the address of the incident, Wiltshire Police said it was unable to find any logs relating to the incident on their system.
Wiltshire 999s provided the collar number of an officer at the scene and chased up the enquiry, but no response had been received at the time of publishing.
It’s not known if any arrests were made, anyone was injured or if there was any risk to the public or local community.

It’s not the first time Wiltshire Police have been unable to find details about an incident.
On 15 July, a crime scene was taped off in Swindon town centre – with forensics present for several hours. Oddly, the force was unable to find any details about it on their system.
