Armed police have stormed a train following a report of a man carrying a gun.
Firearms officers were spotted running into Swindon station at around 6pm on Sunday (27 July).
They swiftly boarded a Bristol Temple Meads-bound GWR train, stopping the suspect.
However, officers found that the ‘gun’ was actually a plastic prop sword wrapped in a towel.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that no arrests were made and no offences are being investigation in connection with the incident.
