A pervert has admitted having sex with a Shetland pony in a stable in Wiltshire.
When Damion Ogeare first appeared in court, he denied carrying out the abuse – despite the prosecution stating that his DNA was found inside the animal.
At Salisbury Crown Court on 27 February, he pleaded guilty to penetrating the vagina of a living animal and trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence.
The incident happened on land off Whaddon Lane, in Hilperton, near Trowbridge, on 24 January 2024.
Police attended the scene after the owner of a Shetland pony reported seeing a man enter a stable on her CCTV system. Officers searched the area but couldn’t find the suspect.
The 43-year-old defendant, of Woolpack Meadows, Trowbridge, was later identified through DNA after a vet took a sample from the mare’s vagina.
Ogeare will be sentenced at Salisbury Crown Court in May. He was released on bail for a pre-sentence report to be compiled.
