There are delays in Bath after a lorry crushed a car – sparking an emergency response.

999 crews raced to reports of a vehicle having become embedded under a HGV on Churchill Bridge Roundabout at around 4pm this afternoon (Friday).

One person appears to be receiving care on the grass from paramedic and firefighters.

Two fire crews and a rapid response ambulance car are in attendance, with more emergency services believed to be en route.

Traffic is building in the area – and as more blue-light vehicles arrive, the road could become blocked or shut by police.

The A36 Claverton Street/Rossiter Road and A367 Wells Road are both showing a red on Google Maps, indicating that there are severe delays for motorists on the approach.
