A Chippenham stalker left a woman scared ‘because of his abandonment issues’, a court heard.

Tyson Junior Miller, who has a history of harassing his victims, targeted his former partner relentlessly – turning up at her home and gym on numerous occassions.

The 37-year-old, of Hill Rise, pleaded guilty to stalking involving serious alarm or distress when he appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on 29 November.

The defendant, who had previously been remanded in custody over a breach of his bail, returned to the same court on 19 December – where he was jailed for 12 months for his offending.

“Miller may seem to be a harmless love stuck man but his pursuit of the victim was relentless”, local crime investigator Roz Hadden said.

She continued: “Just hours after being released on bail with conditions not to contact her, he sent her a friend request on SnapChat.

“In an interview with officers Miller said he had abandonment issues because of his childhood.

“His history of stalking and harassing previous partners should have been enough for him to realise he couldn’t do it again.

“Miller tried to play the victim when he was scaring the life out of the victim, especially when he turned up at her house because he thought she had moved on and had a new partner.

“I believe if he had not been further arrested he would have continued to contact her. This kind of behaviour is not ok.”
