A 12-year-old boy has been robbed at knifepoint by a gang in balaclavas in Swindon.

The youngster was riding his bicycle in the Queens Drive and Hanbury Road area on Thursday (24 October) – when he was approached by a group of six males.

The suspects – who were wearing face coverings – demanded the boy hand over his bicycle.

One of the males, wearing a black tracksuit with a red Trapstar logo on the chest, produced a knife. However, the victim wasn’t injured and managed to ride away.

Two of the suspects were wearing black tracksuits and the other four wore all grey tracksuits. They were last seen walking onto Queens Drive towards Lawns.

The incident, which happened at around 4.30pm, was later reported to police.

If you witnessed this incident, or saw a group of males wearing balaclavas in this area last Thursday, please call Wiltshire Police on 101 quoting crime reference number 54240126088.
