A crash which saw the air ambulance land in Lechlade has left a driver hurt.

Emergency services rushed to reports of a head-on road traffic collision on the A361 Oak Street at around 5.10pm on Tuesday (22 October).

The incident, which happened in a 30mph zone, involved a white Kia Picanto and a black Renault Clio.

Both cars sustained significant front-end damage, with the Kia impacting a wall as it was pushed backwards.

Thames Valley Air Ambulance landed nearby and several ambulances were on scene, alongside two fire engines, a fire officer and police.

A driver, whose sex and age have not been disclosed by police, was taken to hospital for treatment.

It’s said they sustained an injury to their pelvis, which isn’t thought to be serious.

Gloucestershire Constabulary is asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to to contact them.
