Two more people have been charged over a stab murder in Easterton, near Devizes.

48-year-old Raymond Groves, from Hartcliffe, Bristol, died of knife injuries inflicted during an incident at a house in Strawberry Fields on Tuesday 2 July.

His ex-partner, Helen Shakespeare, has been charged was murder and conspiring with others to commit murder – appearing at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday).

Kate Prince, prosecuting, alleged that the defendant “has stabbed her ex-partner at her home address, which has resulted in his death”.

Now, two more people have been charged in connection with the killing.

Anthony Hodges-Hillier, 33, of Brooklands, Royal Wootton Bassett, has been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit the murder.

Letishia Goodwin, 29, of Strawberry Fields, Easterton, has also been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

They have both been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on Monday (8 July).

Shakespeare was remanded in custody at today’s hearing – and will next appear before a judge at Winchester Crown Court on 9 July.
