There are major delays on the A361 after a lorry got stuck across a carriageway.
Police were called to the scene outside West Wilts Crematorium in the Semington area at around 1pm this afternoon (Thursday).
A heavy goods vehicle has become stuck in a ditch at the roadside, blocking the busy road completely.
The news comes just weeks after an Amazon lorry became stuck across the entire A420 carriageway just outside Swindon.
A road traffic collision on the A350 between West Ashton and Yarnbrook is also causing delays as motorists attempt to find alternative routes.
Drivers are facing significant delays in the area.
In a statement about the lorry incident, Wiltshire Police said: “The A361 Hilperton by the Crematorium is currently closed after a lorry has become stuck on the grass.
“It is expected that the road will reopen shortly.”
