A serious crash in Salisbury will close a main road for ‘several hours’, police say.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the A338 Downton Road at around 12.30pm this afternoon (Monday).
Locals claim a motorbike and a car were involved in the incident near the M&S garage.
The biker was taken to Southampton General Hospital by land ambulance for urgent case.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said the road is likely to remain closed for some time.
“Drivers please be aware that the A338 Downton Road just past the M&S garage is currently closed following a serious RTC.
“The road is likely to be closed for several hours. Please find alternate routes.”
