A man’s been arrested after ‘getting intimate with a tree stump’ in a Wiltshire park.

Police responded to reports of a naked male in Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Salisbury, at around 4.30pm yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 13 June).

Members of the public called 999 concerned about the man’s behaviour – when he stripped off naked and exposed his erect penis after cuddling a tree stump.

Moments later, he went on to rub his body on the wood whilst kissing it vigorously.

The odd encounter was caught on camera by a passer-by, a 20-year-old woman who has lived in the city all her life, and claims it’s the first time she’s seen such an event.

“I was just walking in the park with one of my mates and we saw a man hugging a tree and thought it was interesting”, she said.

Adding: “We walked closer and as we did, we saw his trousers down and thought this is pure gold.

“That’s why I started recording and he just started taking off all his clothes and kissing the tree.

“After I stopped recording, the police turned up and started following the man around Salisbury, then arrested him.

“He also approached a group of young girls around the age of 14-15 before he f**ked the tree.”

The incident was witnessed by approximately 25 people, who were enjoying the blazing sunshine in the park – which is located 200 metres from the world-famous Salisbury Cathedral.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed that officers attended the scene and subsequently arrested a man, aged in his 40s, on suspicion of indecent exposure.

He was questioned in custody before being released on bail whilst the investigation continues.
