A Trowbridge woman beater threatened to punch a court legal adviser from the dock.

At Salisbury Magistrates’ Court, Anton Nickle-Belcher pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating, two counts of criminal damage, two counts of assaulting a police officer and a public order offence.

During the hearing on Monday (16 January), the 19-year-old shouted from the dock: “I don’t give a flying f**k what happens to me. I want to go back to bed so get on with it.”

As legal advisor Ian Jefferies addressed the magistrates, the defendant called him a “fat little t**t” before threatening to punch him – resulting in him being taken back down to the cells.

Bethany Adams, prosecuting, briefly summarized the charges, stating that Nickle-Belcher twice assaulted his girlfriend in Trowbridge on 11 January this year and damaged her mobile phone and iPad.

The charges – which were brought forward from a hearing scheduled for the following week – of assaulting police officers and a Section 4 Public Order Act offence related to an incident on 22 December last year.

The defendant, of Helens Court, Trowbridge, was remanded into custody ahead of sentencing at the same court on 6 February.
