A man has been charged with sex attacks on teenage girls in Highworth and Swindon town centre.

Jakub Mariusz Lisiewicz, 18, appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (14 May) accused of committing four sexual assaults on three children over the past month.

The defendant, of Brean Road, Blunsdon St Andrew, is alleged to have pressed his body against a 14-year-old girl in a Highworth field and groped her breasts beneath her bra.

It’s claimed the alleged victim told him to stop, but he continued. It’s alleged he went on put his hand under her leggings and underwear, and attempted to penetrate her vagina with his fingers.

In another reported attack, Lisiewicz is alleged to have slapped and touched the buttocks of a 13-year-old girl before throwing a drink over her top and attempting to touch her breasts. He is also alleged to have tried to get to consume alcohol and threatened to stab her if she told anyone about the incident.

He is also accused of offering another alleged victim, also aged 13, cocaine before squeezing her buttocks and attempting to touch her breasts.

Graham Dono, prosecuting, told the court that police are investigating other allegations against Lisiewicz and asked for him to be remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing.

Terry McCarthy, defending, asked for his client to be granted bail – adding that he denies the allegations and indicated not guilty pleas to all alleged crimes.

He proposed a 23-hour ‘house arrest’ curfew, meaning the defendant would only be able to leave the house for one hour each day.

Following a short deliberation, magistrates decided the curfew would not allay their fears and he was remanded in custody ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing at Swindon Crown Court on 17 June.

The alleged victims in this case have the lifelong right to anonymity. It is an imprisonable criminal offence to share any piece of information that could lead to the identification of the alleged victims.
