Woman hospitalised with “significant” injuries following Swindon nightclub attack

A woman has suffered “significant” injuries during an assault at a Swindon nightclub.

Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses to the serious assault at Cheekies, in Fleet Street, in the early hours of this morning (27 November).

The force says the victim remains in hospital where she is receiving treatment for “significant ” injuries sustained in the incident.

“The assault took place at about 1.30am in the smoking area of the nightclub, which is on Fleet Street”, a police spokesperson said.

Adding: “The female victim was punched following an argument involving another woman and a man.

“We are asking that anyone who was at the venue last night and who may have seen what took place to contact us.

“We would also ask anyone taking pictures at the club last night to please send them to DC Chris Hughes via [email protected].”
