Dog owner Sioux How took to Facebook to alert other people who walk their dogs in Victoria Park following the worrying discovery just across the county border.

In her post, which has been shared more than 145 times on the social media site, she says: “Please be aware more raw meat found this morning in Victoria Park, it has been taken to vets to have it checked out.”

Posting an update later in the day, she wrote: “The vet needed £100 to test it, so it has been taken to Frome town council, they said they would get it checked out. Meanwhile check the bushes before your dogs go rummaging”.
