A major crime scene is place in Swindon town centre tonight.
The cordon was put in place by police officers following what is believed to be a serious assault at around 8pm.
Several officers are guarding the scene in The Parade — between Metro Bank and Costa.
A number of traffic cones are being used to protect evidence within the cordon from the light rainfall earlier this evening.
Forensics have been tasked to attend the scene directly outside Card Factory.
At this early stage, no information has been released by Wiltshire Police.
