The bomb squad are attending a house in Swindon after discovering unknown substances.

Whilst officers arresting a man at an address in Pinnocks Place, Upper Stratton, this morning on suspicion of conspiracy to import class A drugs, they located a number of bottles containing unknown substances.

At shortly before 5.30pm, officers evacuated residents living within 100 metres of the location of the discovery.

A spokesperson Wiltshire Police said: “Due to concerns regarding these substances, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) are attending the scene as a precaution.”
