Country lane near Royal Wootton Bassett closed as lorry overturns in crash

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision involving a lorry.

Firefighters were called to the overturned lorry on the B4696 Lydiard Plain at around 9am this morning after reports of a person being trapped inside.

An ambulance crew and a paramedic officer treated a casualty, but they aren’t thought to have been injured.

The road has been closed in both directions and isn’t expected to reopen for several hours.
