Ten fire engines attending blaze at timber yard in village near Calne

Dozens of firefighters are currently battling a blaze at a timber yard near Calne.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called the Vastern Timber in Studley at around 10am this morning following reports of a fire breaking out there.

Ten fire engines, fire cars and two water bowser can be seen parked in Studley Lane.

A huge black plume of smoke could be seen from across north Wiltshire.

A fire service spokesperson said: “We currently have multiple crews in attendance at a large fire on Studley Lane, Studley. Local residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed due to the large amount of smoke from the incident.”
