Police were called to investigate reports of loud noises coming from a derelict barn in the Royal Wootton Bassett countryside this afternoon.

Officers arrived at the scene near Templars Way Industrial Estate at 5.15pm in a bid to find the culprits and ascertain whether any offences were being committed.

After a short walk through a field, officers found two young men – from separate households – in the barn socialising and listening to music.

The pair were warned about their breach of COVID-19 lockdown regulations and were then asked to return home. The officers didn’t issue a fine for the breach.
