A van driver has been arrested following a crash on the A350 at Lacock.
Emergency services were called to the busy road following a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at around 8.45am today (Thursday).
The incident involved a white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Luton and a woman aged in her 70s – with Great Western Air Ambulance deployed to the scene.

The pedestrian sustained signficiant injuries and was rushed to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol in a life-threatening condition.
The driver of the van, a 39-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by careless driving.
He has been taken into custody for questioning, Wiltshire Police confirmed.
A spokesperson for the force said: “The road is currently closed while an investigation is carried out.
