A van driver has been seriously injured after crashing into a tree outside a Wiltshire hotel.
Emergency services were called to an unnamed road in the village of Thickwood, west of Chippenham, at around 9.30am this morning (Tuesday).
The incident, which happened just outside the grounds of top hotel and spa Lucknam Park, involved a black van hitting a tree on the country route.

With the casualty trapped in the vehicle, Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance was scrambled alongside local ambulance crews and three fire crews.
The patient – a man aged in his 40s – was extricated from the wrecked van and taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that three crews from Chippenham and Corsham attended the scene.
“One casualty was trapped, so crews used hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools to release them”, a spokesperson said.
It’s believed the road has since reopened.
