A man has been named and charged after a boy was stabbed in a remembrance garden in Royal Wootton Bassett.
Emergency services responded to the violent incident at the Royal British Legion Garden of Remembrance on Friday evening (25 September).
A 16-year-old boy sustained stab wounds, which police say are not life-threatening. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers have since arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the assault.
Theodore Farrar, of Queens Road, Royal Wootton Bassett, has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
He also faces an allegation of threatening the boy with an offensive weapon – namely a knife – in a public place.
Farrar is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning (Monday), having been remanded in custody overnight.
